A small mod that adds a skin selector

Skin Select Mod

This mod allows you to change the skin of certain characters. For now, it has only been applied to Rin [Base] and Buro [Idol], but if you’d like to see it added to more characters, feel free to leave a comment.

The download contains two folders:

The “Mod Selector Rin Base” folder adds the selection menu for Rin (Base).

The “Mod Selector Buro Idol” folder adds the selection menu for Buro (Idol).

⚠️ Important: Only one character can be modded at a time. You cannot have both mods active at the same time.

Notes

• No additional software is required, as this mod only adds a few lines of code.
• This mod only changes the skin. Dialogues, abilities, and voices remain default.
• Racer Rin has display issues.
• Rin & Len are not included in the mod, as the code required to add them is too complex :/
• Since the game loads all skins when entering the character section, it might take a few seconds to load the modded character.
• I own the Just as Planned DLC, so I’m not sure how it behaves without that DLC or without the Muse Plus DLC.
• If you want to switch the mod to a different character, make sure to deselect the current modded character in-game before replacing any files.

Download the Skin Selector Mod and extract it. Inside, you’ll find two folders. Choose which character you want to add the menu to (Rin or Buro Idol), and copy its contents into the game directory:
Steam\steamapps\common\Muse Dash\MuseDash_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64
(I recommend making a backup in case you want to uninstall it later)

• 1. First, make sure the modded character is not selected in-game. If they are, the game will crash. To fix this, reinstall the mod and deselect the character from within the game.
• 2. Once that’s done, simply replace the modded files with the backup you created earlier.
