This guide is designed to assist players in completing the “Ancient Oaths” quest in Act II of Path of Exile 2. It provides detailed steps, locations, and tips to ensure a smooth and successful questing experience.
Quest start
The quest “Ancient Vows” in Act II is not given by an NPC, it starts automatically when you pick up one of the relics needed to complete it.
Relic of the Sun Clan
The relic can be found in the bone pits location , it drops with a certain chance from any mob in this location. Note: you can knock out several relics at once, but as soon as you pick up one of them, the other will disappear.
Relic of the Cabal Clan
The second and last relic also drops randomly from any mob, but already in the location ” Ket “. Note: as with the first relic, you can also knock out several of them, but if you pick up one, the others will disappear.
Altar
After obtaining two relics, you need to insert them into the altar, which can be found in the Valley of Titans location
. Once you reach the Valley of Titans, explore the map until you notice some sort of altar in front of a large statue. To place relics on the altar, highlight the relic slots as you would with items (hold Alt for PC), then drag the relics into them.
Note: the altar is located next to the portal.
Awards
The reward for completing Ancient Vows is one of two passive effects, which you can freely switch between when visiting the altar:
- 30% more received amulet charges;
- 15% increased mana recovery from flasks.
