Easy way to get Ultra Brutal on New Xenolith plague!
Introduction
As of today (7th of April) we got new DLC with new plague, Xenolith.
After trying it for a couple of hours I can say I find it one of the best plagues in the game, on a level with Shadow Plague. You have many way to establish your dominance and create a pretty green gem from out beloved planet, including but not limited to:
- Cristalize all humans and then shatter them
- Destroy Earth with meteorite rains
- Slowly consume entire planet with a crystal from the ground.
But today I will show you how can you easily complete Ultra Brutal with almost 100% winrate using Armageddon!
Genoms
While most of the doesn’t matter, I personally prefer such choices:
- ATP Boost
- Orbital Obundance
- Magnetic Syphon
- Quantum Obfuscation
- Xerophile
We only care about ATP Boost and Orbital Obundance genoms. Humanity will not have enought time to fully research us, so we don’t need any slow downs, and we will not care about spreading our crystals at all, as you will see further.
Strategy
We will start by evolving Lithic Seed in Structure menu:
Then we just wait until we have enough XNA to evolve Armageddon.
Your tree should look like this:
By the time you can affort Armageddon. One continent can deploy Satellite coverate that forbids you to use meteorites on that continent. While unpleasant, we can still work with it. For example, when making this guide North America deployed Satellites, but I still managed to win.
Next, we will need to use our meteorite, we will need 5 in total to fully destroy Earth, one for each continent. I didn’t test if target country change how much xenolith spreads, so to be sure select this countries for their continents:
By the time you used 4 meteorites you will almost certantly have continent with satellite coverage. This is where biggest random comes up, and why this method is not 100% bulletproof. Sometimes researches can start bulding disruptors, and if you are not lucky enough they might get 100% faster then you can get 90 XNA for disabling satellites and last meteor.
Buy Kessler Event and finish the job by destroying last continent.
Congrats on completing Ultra Brutal Xenolith, don’t look at that 1/5 score, what matters is that sweet achievement. Now we can chill on Normal or Brutal.
