Tempest Rising: List of Main and Secondary Objectives for GDF and DYN Campaigns

At the time of writing, I could not find a comprehensive list of Tempest Rising campaign objectives. Especially for the secondary objectives. This is for both Global Defense Force (GDF) and Tempest Dynasty (DYN) campaigns.
The point of this is to provide a hint without spoiling or directly giving the strategy for the campaigns.

This info is from the first week of the game. There might be changes or patches that could change the list. If you are reading this from the future, please keep in mind to check other sources.

Misc tips to get 100% on missions

Getting 100% on missions requires you to complete all Main and Secondary objectives. And there are quite a bit of Secondary objectives that are very easy to miss. Without spoiling anything, here are some tips so you don’t miss them.

  1. Read and carefully understand the objectives – Yes. Sometimes it’s that simple. So simple that you may misread or misunderstood at a glance what you’re meant to do. Especially when you’re too focus on what’s going on with your units. When an objective pops up on the side, take time to carefully read it.
  2. Count the number of Secondary objectives – Before you start the mission, you are able to count how many Secondary objectives there are in the Missions menu. You’re not gonna know what they are (that’s why I made this list), but it’s better to have an idea how many before heading in.
  3. Prioritize the Secondary objectives – Might be obvious, but do try to prevent triggering the Main objectives until known Secondary objectives are completed. There are times when this is not the most practical approach. But if you’re being careful not to miss them, then this is the way.
  4. It’s better to let the mission flow – When there are no known Secondary objectives, it’s better to let the Main objectives progress a bit, rather than scouting the map for Secondary objectives. There are Secondary objectives that only trigger after triggering a Main objective regardless if you scout the map ahead. Not to mention that you CAN miss a Main objective by scouting ahead (this is rare).
  5. Careful not to destroy enemy buildings – When you scout ahead or have long range units that can hit far, it can be tempting to destroy an enemy building. Don’t. They might be Secondary objectives that you’ll be instructed to ether capture or destroy later when prompted. If you are able to scout ahead, it’s better not to destroy any buildings that seems isolated or out of place. These are more common in missions when you don’t have a base to start with.
  6. Do not let your Engineers/Technicians get killed on missions where they cannot be produced – as mentioned above, there are Secondary objectives where you need to capture buildings. Be careful with them.
  7. No shame in repeating a mission – If you missed an objective on the first run, then that only means you’ll know better on the next one. Don’t stress it and just have fun!
