Learn how to modify your save file to start your game with extra money.
Updated for the latest version of Sailwind โ now includes support for the new currency system and step-by-step visuals to make the process even easier.
Editing your Save
You can either:
Start a new game, let it load fully, then exit the game.
Or use an existing save file if you want to modify your current progress.
In the Windows search bar, type:
**%appdata%** and hit Enter.
A folder named Roaming will open. At the top of the window, click AppData in the address bar.
Now navigate to:
AppData > LocalLow > Raw Lion Workshop > Sailwind
Inside the Sailwind folder, youโll see your save files named:
Slot1.save, Slot2.save, etc.
Before making any changes:
Right-click on the file you want to edit (e.g., Slot1.save).
Copy and paste it to your Desktop or any safe location as a backup.
Go to:
๐ย www.saveeditonline.com
This tool lets you easily search and modify values inside your save file.
On the website, drag and drop your chosen .save file (from the Sailwind folder) into the box labeled:
“Drop files here to upload”
Once uploaded, use the search bar.
Type:
playerCurrency
Youโll see four values listed as:
playerCurrency[0]
playerCurrency[1]
playerCurrency[2]
playerCurrency[3]
Each one corresponds to the in-game currencies for different regions.
Click on the green value next to each line to edit it.
Suggested value: 999999 (or whatever amount you prefer)
Do this for all four entries.
Scroll down and click:
“Download SlotX.save” (make sure you note which slot you edited)
Go back to your Sailwind save folder.
Delete the original SlotX.save file (after confirming you have a backup).
Copy the edited .save file from your downloads.
Paste it into the Sailwind folder and make sure itโs correctly named:
slot1.save, slot2.save, etc. โ depending on the slot you chose.
Open Sailwind and check your save slots.
Load the edited save and confirm the money has been updated.
If your save isnโt showing:
Double-check the filename (it must be lowercase, like slot1.save).
Make sure the file was properly placed in the correct folder.
If needed, restore the original file from your backup and try again.
You’re now ready to sail the seas with a full purse and no limits. Whether you’re buying the best boat, loading up on supplies, or just exploring stress-free โ enjoy the ride!
