DREDGE: How to Modify Ship Speed with Cheat Engine

First we need to find the speed variable in Dredge. Mine in this image is 123,8 knots/s.

Take your speed seen in the game and divide it by 1,125 to get the actual float value.

Insert this calculated float value into cheat engine and let the program search for float values by clicking First scan.

This is what the search result will look like.

Remove an engine to change the speed of the ship. In the image below you can see that the speed has now dropped to 113,6 knots/s.

Afterwards recalculate the actual float behind the displayed value in the game. The value seen in-game divided by 1,125.

Run the search once more afterwards to narrow down the search results by clicking Next scan.
Double click the value of the search result that is closest to your calculated float value.

Now change the value to any you desire.

In-game this then looks like this. If it doesn’t immediately show up, just close the menu and reopen it again. This reloads everything and shows the actual values.

Small note: When you die or close the game you will have to redo this process. In order to skip this you have to look for the pointer of the speed value, this will be added on a later date.
