Fixing incompatible game version if you cannot play with friends due to the new patch update.
The Fix
Folks, I’m coming in with a fix with the different versions error that worked for me (without downloading a stranger’s folders)! Here are the steps to fix it:
1. If you have a friend who successfully got the patch, have them download (2) folders from your computer. The files are located at:
This PC > Local Disc > Users > [Your User] > Onedrive > Documents> My Games> Borderlands 4 > Saved > PersistentDownloadDir.
2. Have your friend download the Gearbox and shiftsdk folder. Have them send the folder to you via a program like google drive.
3. Replace your own Gearbox and shiftsdk folder with their version (which contains the patch).
