Each item in trading has an EXACT value. This guide will show you those values, how to know them, and more!
Bartering Basics
Each item has a certain value, which can be seen in the “Knowledge” section of your inventory, when hovering over the item. This is known as the “Contribution Value,” and will be referred to as “CV” from this point onwards.
For example, this is what should appear in the menu, when hovering over “Wheat.”

Note the box at the bottom, which shows the CV, in this case being 15.
Additionally, each of the items that can be bartered for have the exact same CV. So, if I wanted to barter for 1 Softwood (2 CV) I could use 1 Hay (2 CV), and get an equivalent amount.
However, other items, such as the animals and seeds do not have a value in the “Knowledge” section, so it must be calculated individually. Fortunately for you, I (and a few others) have calculated this, so you can easily figure out what’s needed to buy whatever you want.
THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST. THERE MAY BE ITEMS THAT WE ARE NOT AWARE WHICH, OF COURSE, WILL NOT BE IN HERE.
ADDITIONALLY, THESE ITEMS MAY NOT BE EXACT. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, NOT A FINAL LIST.
Jiang Zhengyang – Crops
Seeds are one of the few items that cannot be checked in your inventory, so they were calculated manually.
To get to the point, this is the list:
So, any combination of items that equals the CV will get you that item. This can be extrapolated to 10, 20, 50, or even 100 of an item at once, by multiplying the CV by that number.
This continues for each and every shop and item, and the tables will be shown further down in the chart.
Yue Hongdi – Livestock
Hongdi’s items are very expensive, especially the animals.
Xiao Yuanyi – Fishing Items
There’s only a few items in this category, those being the various types of bait:
Long Xizhi – Foodstuffs
The good thing about these items, every recipe of the same rarity is the exact same price.
This is both easy for you, to figure out how much each item is, and me, so I don’t have to put in each recipe individually!!!
* All these values are not confirmed as of right now, but we are working to confirm them as you read this guide.
Lu Zhen – Forestry Items
Lu Zhen only offers a couple of items, mainly seeds
Li Yong – Medicine
DISCLAIMER
This section is the most in-progress, as Li Yong only accepts herbs as currency, and many herbs have strange values (i.e. Dandelions = 13, Honeysuckle = 42, etc.)
Sheng Wuqiang – Rocks and Stuff
Wuqiang has the least amount of items at this point, only 2.
