Nova Roma: Achievement Guide 100%

To unlock all technologies, you’ll need to play through the campaign normally. As you progress, you’ll naturally earn a large number of achievements along the way. Simply following the tasks given by the gods will unlock most of them.

In the rest of this guide, I will therefore focus only on the more ambiguous achievements. There are also a few – such as collecting 5000 gold, demolishing 25 buildings at once, or building a colosseum – that are straightforward and don’t require further explanation.

Fyi:
You won’t unlock all the technologies just by completing all the tasks. You also need to hold some festivals (can be found in the Large Temples under “Consult the Gods”). F.e. the Colosseum unlock is in the upper right, so you might need to plan your point spending or do mulitple festivals.

Using terrain engineering, modify the landscape so that water flows into an area without a natural water source. This is fairly easy to achieve by taking a water source on a mountain and redirecting it to flow down along the side.

Exact amount is unclear, but example down below is what worked for me. The Spillway on the right is 135m (if at max).

Don’t know the exact length needed, my first try of 1230m was not enough.
Second try of 2513m was enough. If anyone has a more specific figure, let me know.

Important: it has to be one long aqueduct WITHOUT water towers in between or any other water objects.

Would recommend starting at your highest water source. Just zigzag your way to the other side of the island. Don’t forget to put down a water tower on the end of your line before you start putting it down. You can also end in a different aqueduct

Get yourself a Trireme from the Shipyard

Then, from you Barracks, recruit some centuria

Put the Centuria in the Trireme and go to the smaller island on the map.
Build an outpost (Trireme en Centuria will be lost) for the achievement.

Not very hard late game,
– Demolish everything
– Clear land on everything (all your homeless people will have cleared everything in record time)
Just make a save beforehand and load it back in when done.

Remember:
– The second island counts
– Trees from foresters count
– Apple trees count
– Olive trees count
They will all have to go

I am not sure about Grape Vines, but I just cleared everything to be sure.

I clocked a full year at just under 4 minutes (at 3x speed)
Making 200 years at least 800 minutes aka just over 13 hours.
That is if at no point you pause the game.

All in all the game took me roughly 20 hours to 100%, as of version 0.7.1820
