Welcome to the Antonblast Collectibles / Hints Guide! Antonblast is a game filled with hidden treasures, and this guide is designed to help you uncover them without giving away their exact locations.
A Word of Warning
Before diving into the hints, we strongly recommend completing each level or at least playing through it before checking the hints. This ensures that the game’s surprises remain intact. Also, be aware that this guide contains full spoilers for the entire game, so proceed with caution!
What’s to Find?
Each level in Antonblast contains four main collectibles:
- SPIRIT: An unmistakable item placed in each level, required to progress and complete the game.
- JUNK: Left behind by Annie, these items are scattered throughout the levels, waiting to be collected.
- SPRAY CAN: These contain lead-infused paint for the characters to use, and are often hidden in creative ways.
- TAPE: Brulo’s lost tapes with unique tunes, which can be listened to in the cassette room in his casino.
This guide is a living document, and we welcome your feedback in the comments to improve the hints and descriptions.
BOILER CITY
- JUNK: Remember that apartment from the intro? There might be a way back in. Anton lost his keys, so you’ll need a launch to get there. Uncovering the way requires a bit of headbutting.
- SPRAY CAN: Roll it back, bowl the track. Something’s gotta blow up first. Getting into a ball might not be obvious at first, but find a steep slope to use the ball rolling transformation.
- TAPE: Some paths open when the walls start coming down. Brulo blocks change once the countdown starts. Go dumpster diving before the place explodes, and remember that jump in the sewers.
SLOWROAST SEWER
- JUNK: That ominous door looks suspicious. The platform is for more than avoiding electrocution. Getting to the door will require some brute force.
- SPRAY CAN: The shark can break through walls. Look for a weighty wall out of reach. Timing is crucial here.
- TAPE: This one’s in sight during normal progression. Use speed and expert timing to reach it. If you miss, restart from the checkpoint.
CINNAMON SPRINGS
- JUNK: The mountains have many nooks and crannies. Watch out for blocked paths and balance on tiny platforms.
- SPRAY CAN: Who puts tornado blocks vertically? Take that tornado for a spin and perform precise platforming.
- TAPE: The construction is shoddy, but the steep slopes are convenient. The dopey seal is in the way again. Jump while in the ball transformation.
BOMB CANDY MINES
- JUNK: You can’t pick up these bombs. Get the bomb over the gap with a slide, then prepare for a thrill.
- SPRAY CAN: The spray can is tempting, but a bomb wall is in the way. If at first you don’t succeed, run around the level until you can backtrack. Take the bomb transformation where it isn’t meant to be.
THE BIG BATH
- JUNK: There’s a synchronized swimming session behind that door. The wall is too hard to brute force. Destroy these weights with something else.
- SPRAY CAN: The room changed after jumping into the mirror. Pay attention to what you can get on top of inside the room.
- TAPE: The walls are restless here. Run left and right to keep your bearings and find some sick tunes.
CONCRETE JUNGLE
- JUNK: Go dumpster diving. The controller is hidden where the little pippo’s are. It’s lodged into a wall like an ancient relic.
- SPRAY CAN: Life has many doors. If you spend too much time above the jungle floor, you’ll miss what’s down below. Act now! The paint can is only available once the clock starts ticking.
- TAPE: The jelly sends you flying. The spirit smells foul. Go backtrack a little after you pick it up.
PINBALL MIRE
- JUNK: Take the side path. The junk is hidden early in the level. Take note of cracks in the ceiling, excluding the outhouses. The crack can be seen right over a regenerative block.
- SPRAY CAN: You just pulled a sick trick bouncing off the shot pinball. Try it again! Before getting here, you slammed your head into another 1t weight. If you entered a room and saw the Happy Hour Detonator, the entrance to the spraycan challenge room was hidden in the previous one.
- TAPE: It’s like Sonic! You’re rolling around in a ball, then take the higher route before falling to the lower one. Don’t go further down the path where you just squashed Danton.
THE MAD MALL
- JUNK: A rooftop rampage awaits those who can make a mighty leap. Why did someone leave their empty drinking cup in the shooting gallery?
- SPRAY CAN: Finally, something those gremlin dudes couldn’t steal. The entrance to the spray can room is hidden after the first room where you blasted all those goblins for the first time.
- TAPE: The door with the tape must be nearby. It’s not placed outside the red shopping area. You gotta play ball once more to get to the tape! What did you use before to knock down some pins?
CRIMSON FACTORY
- JUNK: Ever wonder how there are no deathpits unless it’s clearly shown? Micro demons throwing shade? There is a direct way to get to him! Fall down a pit where you don’t see any green fire.
- SPRAY CAN: This factory’s been here a while. Some of the walls are showing their age. Squint your eyes. Ram your head into some walls. If you saw/found the junk… the can is not too far off.
- TAPE: Gross, that jetpack dropped you right into a garbage dump! It’s hard to climb ladders when you’ve got a jetpack blasting you at high speeds. If you haven’t gotten the idea of backtracking in your head at this point, maybe you rammed your head into too many brick walls.
THE MYSTERIOUS GLASSHOUSE
- JUNK: Look! It’s the trophy that Annie won in a Punch Ball tournament! The path to get to the junk is very obvious. It will literally fall into your eye by playing this level normally. Use a bit of speed to reach the end of this platforming challenge.
- SPRAY CAN: Try to feel where the level is trying to guide you. Isn’t it odd there are just two piranha platforms going off to the right side? A well-placed hammer vault is needed to reach the piranha platforms to get to the spraycan room. Time your jumps with the white piranha platforms. Sniff out an Angel. Pay attention to the room names as you enter them.
- TAPE: Playing pool is the secret to this one. The 8-Ball’s gotta go low, low, low, low…
DEVILLED GARDENS
- JUNK: That Moontis fella seems like a swell guy, and he’s pretty tall. Wonder how he gets inside, that room seems pretty small!
- SPRAY CAN: Thanks for the free party work, now run home, you little jerk! You must carefully prune with your mech suit on the hedge, otherwise, you will scream like a fledge.
- TAPE: A cement cannon stands off to the side. Open your eyes, and open them wide. Prepare for a large slam-dunk, with passing an even heavier chunk.
HELL MANOR
- JUNK: As all collectibles are pretty much out in the open, a general tip: you do not have to get every collectible in one level run. Just doing one challenge room at a time, then beating the level, will suffice. Do it again for the other two.
- SPRAY CAN: See above.
- TAPE: Failing here does not require a level restart. Re-enter the room to reset the crates.
