A list of all Launch Options/Arguments for Wreckfest 2
How to use Steam Launch Options
The first way you can open your Steam Library and right click Wreckfest 2 in the list then left click properties from the list of options that pops up as seen here.
The second way is to click the little gear icon on the game page from your Steam Library as seen here.
Once you have the properties window opened you should then be on the general tab, if you look at the bottom of this section you will see Launch Options and a box to input text into that looks like this.
The text box at the bottom of this window is where you’ll be adding the Launch Options.
The final way to use Launch Options is through a shortcut. This is useful for if you want the game to launch normally except for when you launch with a specific shortcut.
This can be done by adding the Launch Option/Argument to the end of the link for the game.
You can create a desktop shortcut for the game by right clicking the game in your Steam Library > Manage > Add Desktop Shortcut
Once you have the desktop shortcut for Wreckfest 2 you can then right click it and enter properties for the link.
You will see something like this.
Take note of the URL line as that is the launch command Steam will receive, which should have the game ID. (Which for Wreckfest 2 is 1203190).
You can then add // [argument] to the end of the URL line as shown in this image. You can find more arguments below further in this guide.
Using Steam game shortcuts with arguments will cause the following prompt to appear, showing a warning message asking if you are sure you want to launch the game with the Launch Options you added. This is just a security feature of Steam and you can just click continue and the game will launch with the desired options.
The Available Launch Options
Here’s an example of how it should look in the usual Launch Option text box.
(This forces windowed mode and bypasses any setting in your configuration for the game, useful if you want to termporarily use windowed mode without changing your game settings)
(This skips the Bugbear/THQN splash screens at the start of the game launch and jumps straight to the “Press Enter” screen.)
(This shows the configuation launcher for the game so you can change settings but will not launch the game itself even if you click play)
(This shows the configuration launcher for the game and will allow you to play the game after clicking play)
Non-functional/Unknown usage
(Direct IP connect upon launch seems non-functional leave a comment if you figure the usage out)
-window_aspect_ratio (Seems to have no effect or need specific unknown usage)
(Pointless opposite of -no_logos as the game runs with logos by default)
