MultiVersus: How to Skip the Startup Screens (Epilepsy Warning NOT Included)

A quick guide on how to instantly skip past the startup screens that play every launch. It doesn’t include a way to skip the epilepsy warning, which happens to be the screen that wastes the most time.

 

What is this?

It’s a way to skip those pesky startup screens that delay getting to the login menu!

Steps

1) Download the RAR: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1asW7PVlYHeII3mx91byAOyOuj7IGU5UE/view?usp=drive_link

2) Right-click MultiVersus in Steam, hover over “Manage”, and select “Browse local files”.

3) Once the game directory opens, open the “MultiVersus” folder followed by the “Content” folder.

4) Extract the zip file into the “Content” folder and choose to overwrite the mp4s when it asks.

  • Alternatively, before extracting the zip file, you can rename the three files in the “Movies” folder we’re replacing to logogarden.mp4.bak, logogarden2022.mp4.bak, and startup_short.mp4.bak. This will allow you to have backups of the original videos if you ever wish to use those again.

FAQ

“Why doesn’t this skip the epilepsy warning screen?”

After trying to delete, rename, and replace the movie file related to this screen, my best guess is that the game isn’t actually using this file. It’s likely included in one of the PAK files, which would require modding the game and WB seems to be against that. If anyone can figure out how to skip this screen, please let me know and I’ll include it in this guide!
