WARRIORS: Abyss – Easy Clears Farming Build

Just wanted to put out a build guide for the team which I found to clear all Stages extremely easily/efficiently.

General Concept

This build is based around spamming Summons to quickly take out large swarms of enemies and/or deplete boss shield gauges in seconds.

To begin, you will need to unlock at least one of the following Heroes to make the build work:
– Chen Gong
– Nene
– Yoshimoto Imagawa
– Zhang He
– Guan Yu

You will also want to unlock the “Quick Summons” perk in the Hall of Bonded Souls so that you can manually trigger the summoning of one of the above Heroes.

The reason for these specific heroes is that they each have a Unique Tactic which summons additional Heroes in your Formation who fit the criteria of their Unique Tactic.

Chen Gong summons Lu Bu Army trait
Nene summons Toyotomi trait
Yoshimoto Imagawa summons Daimyo
Zhang He summons Five Wei Elite
Guan Yu summons Five Shu Tigers

To make the build, you will want to prioritize unlocking the Unique Tactic as well as units that can be summoned using the Unique Tactic. You will also want to prioritize the Charm stat as much as possible to reduce Summon cooldown. With either the Matsukaze or Red Hare and 12 points in Charm, the Summon cooldown reduction will be at 100%, meaning you can literally spam Quick Summon on one of the above Heroes who will then summon multiple other Heroes at the same time without triggering their cooldowns. If this sounds broken, that’s because it is.

Which Core Hero to use

As stated above, there are 5 Heroes which can form the core of your build. I will provide an overview of each, starting from most to least beginner friendly.

Nene :

Pros
– Most beginner friendly because she’s at the very bottom of the Hall of Bonded Souls tree, allowing you to unlock her earliest.
– Her Unique Tactic is unlocked very easily, requiring only 5 Speed Emblems and 3 Toyotomi. Nene herself has a Speed Emblem and is Toyotomi so you only need 4 more along with 2 more Toyotomi to unlock the Tactic.
– Summons Toyotomi trait, which contains a fairly large number of units.
– Takatora Todo, Toshiie Maeda, Mitsunari Ishida, and Kai are all fairly low and close to Nene in the Hall of Bonded Souls Tree and aside from Mitsunari Ishida, these early summons have pretty good aoe coverage.
– Near the top of the Hall of Bonded Souls tree is Kanetsugu Naoe who has the Unique Tactic of buffing Toyotomi (and Uesugi, but for this build, that is irrelevant) damage to barriers by 100% which is great for boss killing.

Cons
– Needing 5 Speed Emblems means taking away time from stacking Charm to reach this build’s maximum potential faster.

Zhang He:

Pros
– Very easy to meet his Unique Tactic requirements as he only needs 4 “Five Wei Elite” units, which you’ll be going for anyways. Despite the name, there are actually only 4 units with this trait in the game at the time of this writing, so it’s simultaneously one of the easiest condition to meet in terms of the number of units required and the one of the most restrictive (aside from Guan Yu.)
– Zhang Liao, Yue Jin, Xu Huang, and Zhang He are all very close to one another on the Hall of Bonded Souls tree, making them easy to unlock.
– The 4 units are pretty synergistic. For instance, Zhang Liao’s unique trait gives a 40% attack buff to Brave General trait, and all of the Five Wei Elite units have this trait.
– 2 free slots remaining in your Formation allows you to slot in Heroes like Xiahou Dun (increase Wei units barrier damage by 100%) and Cao Cao (70% additional attack for Wei units) to further buff your team. An alternative to Cao Cao is Zhen Ji who buffs attack by 50% during Assembly through her Unique Tactic (requires 10 Charm which is something that you should be obtaining in this build anyways.)

Cons
– AoE coverage of the Five Wei Elite is lower than the other Summon spam teams.

Yoshimoto Imagawa:

Pros
– His Unique Tactic is unlocked very easily, requiring only 5 Grace Emblems and 3 Daimyo. As he both gives a Grace Emblem and is a Daimyo, you only need 4 more Grace Emblems and 2 Daimyo to unlock the Tactic.
– Grace Emblems are something you want to be stacking on this build anyways since it reduces your summoning cooldown.
– Summons Daimyo which include: Motonari Mori, Nagamasa Azai, Masamune Date, Shingen Takeda, Masayuki Sanada, Kenshin Uesugi, Ujiyasu Hojo, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and Oda Nobunaga.
– Masamune Date and Kenshin Uesugi can be unlocked fairly early, but most of other Daimyo are higher on the tree and expensive to unlock, so getting full use out of the “summon everyone” ability of Yoshimoto Imagawa requires substantial investment in the Hall of Bonded Souls.

Cons
– The early Daimyo unlocks don’t have as much AoE coverage as Toyotomi does and due to the diverse nature of Daimyo, they are less synergistic overall compared to Toyotomi, even if they are individually quite strong.
– As an addition to the issue with synergy, there is no Unique Tactic that buffs Daimyo damage to barriers. You’ll have to look for characters to can buff parts of your team to do more barrier damage who will, in turn, take up a team slot that could have fit a Daimyo instead.

Guan Yu:

Pros
– His Unique Tactic unlock condition is like Zhang He’s, but requires all 5 of the Five Shu Tigers as they are all in the game, unlike the Five Wei Elite.
– Good AoE coverage from summoning the team.
– Shu has good support to fill remaining Formation slots (1 slot remaining if you’re using all five of the summons.) Pang Tong provides 100% barrier damage for Shu while Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang are both very strong supports as well.

Cons
– Ma Chao is very high up the Hall of Bonded Souls relative to the other generals. Thus, while you can get 4 out of the 5 pieces very early, you can’t actually use Guan Yu to summon until you’re quite a bit further in the game.

Chen Gong:

Pros
– His team deletes boss barriers and health bars extremely quickly.
– Requires 5 Wisdom Emblems and 2 Lu Bu Army traits to unlock his Unique Tactic. He provides one of each so the actual unlock condition is 4 Wisdom Emblems and one more Lu Bu Army.
– There are only 3 other Lu Bu Army units. Lu Lingqi and Lu Bu both have large AoE and heavy damage. Having both along with 100% Summon cooldown reduction for Chen Gong is pretty much an “I win button.” You can skip putting Diao Chan in your team as she only provides a speed buff (though the additional damage for Lu Bu through her Unique Tactic can be nice.)
– You only need 2-3 Formation slots to maximize his team, meaning you can mix and match in a Daimyo/Toyotomi/Five Wei Elite team very easily as a secondary.
– His teammates fill up Musou very very fast when summoned as a group, meaning you can spam Musou or use it as filler if you haven’t reached 100% Summon cooldown reduction yet.

Cons
– All his teammates are at the top of the Hall of Bonded Souls tree, meaning they are very expensive to unlock even if you make a beeline for him.
– His voice when summoned can get annoying. Fast. And you will be hearing it a lot.

Final Thoughts

As a summary, the build requires focusing on Charm Emblems aside from the Unique Tactic unlock conditions. Getting Matsukaze or Red Hare treasures will also greatly improve your experience with the build. Place your Core Summon as slot 1 or 2 in your Formation, depending on which horse treasure you have (to make the summon faster to rotate into) and spam away. Wisdom Emblems are also very synergistic with this build since the multi-Summons build Musou quickly which translates to faster kills and invincibility if you’re not at 100% Summon cooldown reduction yet or if you need breathing room to hit the Quick Summon.

Since this build is focused on Summons, you should be able to do well on your runs regardless of which hero you are playing. Feel free to comment on build improvements and suggestions and I wish you all a pleasant in-game experience.
