DATAMATRICES

the game shows various different datamatrix codes that can be decoded into a 7-digit number.
the most easily accessible one of these is Coral Glasses’, given as a “fax number” just by talking to her, but there are four of these in total.

you are able to call these by typing in the numbers themselves using your keyboard after being shown the datamatrix. if you hear the sound effect of dialing a number, it’s working. (for some people, even if they’re in the right spot and nothing is happening, spamming 7/8/9 until it plays the sound works)

the number pad does not work everywhere in the game– they only really work exclusively in areas you can find a datamatrix. it does not matter if you call the datamatrix in the same area you found it, it just has to be in one of the applicable areas. the best and easiest place to do this is in the ship after entering the Lonely Door.

i believe, except for coral glasses, you do not have to go through all the steps for each as long as you have the number and are in one of the call locations. correct me if im wrong!

1 | CORAL GLASSES

this one is the easiest to find, given simply by talking to coral glasses in the hub, and results in the Candidate Review achievement.

decoded datamatrix: 7746837

PROCESS:

1) talk to Coral Glasses in the hub, having her print out the “fax number”
2) after going to the Uncanny Streets, talk to Taski Maiden (the “candidate” we are calling her about).
3) go back to the ship you originally came out the Lonely Door from. This is because it’s one of the viable datamatrix spots, but any of them work.
4) input the 7-digit code above (7746837) using your keyboard. if it’s playing a phone input sound each time you press a number, it’s working.

you can also try to call her in front of her, and her sprite will do this –

2 | PHINDOLL

this is a very simple one, referencing my thetastic goat

decoded datamatrix: 2543276

PROCESS:

there technically isn’t one for this one — you can call it the moment you enter the Lonely Door in the ship.
two Phindoll bobbleheads can be found in game, in the taxi and in the secret gift shop. this is the reason the ship works for other phone calls, because the Phindoll datamatrix is found in the same game zone as the ship.

3 | FROGGY

little secret with showing some of ENA and froggy’s friendship and small bits of ENA lore/references to og ENA.

decoded datamatrix: 8237653

PROCESS:

1) progress the game enough to get past the bridge, however you may go about doing so

2) head to specifically this rock down the main path by the crane with the six-eyed person sitting to the right of it. climb up on top of it, sliding up from where it starts by the crane.

3) after going on top, jump down to the shorter rock past it and look past the space beyond all the buildings. find this specific gap between buildings beyond the ones youre on top of. drop down, and keep running through that gap in a straight line.
the glowing animation that plays when you are going out of bounds will play, but keep running through it. if you are going the right way and keep running (hold shift), you will get through it.

4) you are now running out and away from the main area. keep running in the opposite direction of where you see all the buildings and everything; if you get back into the glowing light, recenter by changing your direction away from the light slightly. you will be running for a while, but as long as your screen doesn’t start glowing you’re going the right way.

you will encounter a river. the best place to make this jump is at this little pointed part.
5) keep going until you see this 2d Froggy sprite holding a datamatrix. you can talk to him, and right in front of him you can input the 7-digit code, 8237653.

4 | THE AUCTIONEER

another cute little og youtube ENA reference 🙂
decoded datamatrix: 6687226

PROCESS:

the actual call does not require you to have gone to the right location or anything, but this is simply the process of finding the datamatrix itself.
1) progress the game to the second to last zone, where you go after dispelling the smoke, the entire area being a reference to Auction Day.
2) parkour up onto this structure with the moving arms
3) on top, there is a datamatrix. this allows you to call anywhere in the area, but you can also call the number in any of the other, more early game areas.
