My Personal Opinions
Characters:
- Adventurer : You gotta start somewhere.
- Cultist : Not much to say, played only at the end for completion.
- Ratfolk Archer : That starting skill triggers really fast, probably good pair with summons that gives bonus to starting skills.
- Crusader : Revolves around countering. Totally paired with Hedgehog.
- Divine : Is actually damn insane when you start having good gears and magic. Felt like tower defense.
- Summoner : Alone, the most useless of the bunch. With good summons, very very good. Though that means levelling up your summons. No you will not use ARISE your enemies with this one.
- Knight : On paper, he should survive much longer than the rest. In practice, too weak due to lack of mana recovery, until you get the last summon.
Summons:
- Fox : Alright for melee and beginnings. Bleeds enemy.
- Slime : Meh unless you’re going poison build.
- Owl : Instakill is way worse than it sounds. [0.5x Power]% from your starting skill, that’s not alot unless you play the archer.
- Hedgehog : If you are prefer melee, this is probably your mainstay until the last 2 summons.
- Twig Sprite : On later area, this is a lifesaver for summoners. Else, it’s kinda meh.
- Imp : Has a skill that [1x Acuity]% chance to cause explosion on enemy who just spawned.
- Homunculus : Has a skill that [1x Power]% chance to cause killed enemy to become a nuke.
- Wolf : That level 30 skill heals you for 3% Max HP and 3% Max MP for each enemy kill. No gimmick or chance, just downright broken. With this, you can go all out and never think about mana.
What my general stat look like in the end:
What passives I use with that stat:
The build is better suited for those that can’t move like Ratfolk Archer or Divine. But it works well with almost all build besides Summoner.
The idea is to exploit the Wolf for infinite mana by spamming fatal AoE attacks to keep the loop going.
The damage at Area 10 Void.
- Curious Wisp : Weak at the start, but is a lifesaver for non-melee characters, especially to deal with melee enemy swarms. It will grind those closest to you.
- Infernal Ray : Weak at the start, with only 1 ray and not even 360 coverage, it’s bad. But crank that SPI up, and you’ll get Wing Zero jealous of you.
- Icicle Barrage : Nothing much but a backup to harass randos from a distance.
- Ghost Blade : The One True King! So good, that the dev nerf it after 1 day. Looks weak stats wise. But! It damages enemies around it’s deployed area, and it triggers at every kill at 64 DEX. It will probably be the mainstay of everyone but the Summoner. It will MELT both the enemy and your mana pool if you do not manage the level you deploy.
For Summoner, this is the general passives I use:
I’d pair him with 5 of the latest summons I unlocked
