Beyond R: Rule Ripper – Official Guide for Endings and Achievements

Official guide by the creator himself, Tohriv (that’s me!). Includes step by step guide for all endings and achievements with as little spoilers as possible.

 

True Ending and Councils

While instructions have been written as vaguely as possible, beware of spoilers throughout, as some early choices are needed much later on. This guide includes every possible positive choice, but some are optional. Not every choice mentioned is needed to finish the game.


Hour 00:00
  • No relevant choices before the Council.

Council 1
  • First choice: Left option, then right option

  • First billiards: Intervene in the first (and only) line. Choice: Right option.

  • Second billiards: Intervene on any line. Choice: Left option.

  • Third billiards: Intervene on the first or second line. Choice: Left option.

  • Final choice: Bottom option.

Hour 01:00
  • Exploration, council area: Left choice.

Council 2
  • First billiards: Don’t intervene.

  • Second billiards: Intervene on any line.

  • Third billiards: Intervene on any line.

Hour 02:00
  • Exploration, Coffee choice: Leave the bottom option for last.

Council 3
  • Second choice: Right option.

  • Third choice: Bottom right option.

  • First billiards: Intervene on any line.

  • Character selection: Lime.

Hour 03:00
  • First scene choice: Left option.

  • Investigation: Find a hint on the counter, go to the bathroom, and talk with Coffee (Choice: Left option).

Council 4
  • First billiards: Don’t intervene.

  • From this point, whichever path you don’t take here will be taken in the next council. Either order is fine, as there are many choice combinations in these two councils that lead to the correct path. Here is one.

  • First choice: Right option.

  • Second billiards: Intervene on any line. Choice: Right option.

  • Data choice: Right option.

  • First character choice: Cocktail

  • Second character choice: Anyone, but one in particular has a special result

  • Don’t share your other data.

  • Intervene after Vodka’s data.

Hour 04:00
  • Investigation: Go everywhere except to the fish tank area.

  • West area choices: Right option, left option, bottom option.

  • Billiard table area choice: Right option.

Council 5
  • There will be a special section before taking the path you didn’t take in the previous council. If there isn’t, you missed checking the bathroom and/or the counter in hour 03:00.

  • First choice: Right option.

  • Area selection: Bathroom. Murder discussion starts here.

  • Lime testimony: Don’t intervene.

  • Cigar choice: Bottom right option.

  • Darts testimony: Don’t intervene.

  • Cocktail testimony: Don’t intervene.

  • Bill choice: Left option.

  • Coffee choice: Right option.

  • Weapon discussion: Don’t intervene.

  • Final vote: Darts. If no majority is reached at the end, you did it!

Hour 05:00
  • First choice: Center option.

  • Hint: Chat screenshot

  • Puzzle: Select fourth option in the left column and second + fifth options in the right column.

Council 6
  • First choice: Left option.

  • First billiards: Intervene on the first line. Choice: Left option.

  • Second billiards: Intervene on one of the first four lines.

  • Third and fourth billiards: Don’t intervene.

  • Key choices: Bottom option, then bottom right, and finally left.

Hour 06:00
  • No relevant choices before the Council.

Council 7
  • First billiards: Intervene on the first and only line.

  • Second billiards: Don’t intervene.

  • First choice: Right option.

  • Second choice: Left option.

  • Third billiards: Intervene in EVERY line available.

  • Don’t open the BARMAN, keep going.

  • Fourth billiards: Intervene against Poker. It’s one of the last lines.

Hour 07:00
  • Second choice: Right option. There should be 3 options. If there aren’t, you didn’t intervene in the right line at the end of the previous council.

  • Third choice: Middle option.

  • Fourth choice: It might seem like there’s only one option, but you can actually end the scene here. Don’t. Keep going.

  • Unlock new data if you haven’t already.

Council 8
  • First choice: Top left option.

  • First billiards: Don’t intervene.

  • Second choice: Bottom right option.

  • Third choice: Bottom option.

  • Second billiards: Intervene against Cigar. Next, do it again but on her second line.

  • Puzzle: You need two correct combinations of data and hints. Divorce papers + The data you unlocked this hour and Newspaper clip + Work stress. It doesn’t matter which one you do first.

  • Rule selection: 3. Choice: Bottom left option.

  • BARMAN: Enter the Link menu and select Unlink.

Hour 08:00
  • First choice: Right option.

  • Second choice: Top left option.

  • Third choice: Right option. If you don’t see this choice, you either didn’t check the bathroom in hour 03:00 or didn’t see the talk about it at the end of Council 4.

  • Location: Inside the men’s bathroom.

  • Special section: Middle option twice, then right option.

  • Fourth choice: Top option.

  • Fifth choice: Top option.

  • Sixth choice: Right option.

Council 9
  • Strap in!

  • Intervene with the third line.

  • Choose Piano.

  • Intervene with the second option.

  • Data selection: Suicide. Hint: Loan.

  • Intervene with the second line.

  • Data selection: Work stress.

  • Intervene with the second line three more times. Now you need to complete two sections in either order to advance to the final section.

  • Lime section: Two correct paths. If How, intervene with the first line. If Why, the second line.

  • BARMAN section: If you didn’t complete the bathroom section in this hour, you won’t be able to continue. Intervene in the third line and select Cocktail.

  • Final choices: Always pick the second option.

You did it! Now sit back and enjoy the finale.

Bad Endings

Spoilers on the contents of each ending have been reduced as much as possible, including not adding the ending’s name. However, I recommend not looking at this guide until you’ve seen the True End.


Ending 1

Council 1: Reach max tension. Easiest method is to miss every ball interaction.

Ending 2

Council 2 (Limbo version): Intervene at the start, then pick the top choice.

Ending 3

Council 1: Accept Darts’ offer at the end, then keep going until you reach the ending.

Ending 4

Council 3:After “There’s still time”, use the Messaging app.

Ending 5

Council 3: Choose “Yes, but…”.

Ending 6

Council 3: Reach max tension. Easiest method is to choose “Through one of the rules” several times, picking any number.

Ending 7

Council 4 or 5: Reach max tension. Ending is the same regardless of council or topic chosen. Make the most inflammatory and wrong choices you can and you should reach it without much trouble.

Ending 8

Hour 02: In the sofa area with Lime, pick the right choice. After Council 3, pick the top choice.

Hour 04: During the investigation, get the Hint in the west area and avoid the bathroom area. Then, avoid a majority vote at the end of Council 5 (check the true ending guide for details).

Council 6: Pick the left choice.

Ending 9

Same steps as Ending 8, but picking the right choice in Council 6. Alternatively, you won’t get a choice and will get this ending automatically if you don’t have all three Lime points.

Ending 10

Council 5: Get a majority vote on Darts. To guarantee it, follow these steps:

Hour 04 investigation, billiard table: Pick Darts as a suspect first, then Cocktail.

Council 4: Choose to share Data, starting with the suicide data. In the accusation against rule 1, do not abstain nor vote for Darts. After that, share the black coffee data and ask Cocktail who wanted other types of coffee.

Council 5: Intervene against Cocktail in his testimony. Don’t intervene during the talk about the murder weapon. Vote for Darts at the end.

Ending 11

Council 5: Get a majority vote on Poker. To guarantee it, follow these steps:

Hour 03: Talk with Coffee during the investigation.

Council 4: Choose to talk about the murder. Don’t intervene during Cocktail’s testimony, talk about the footsteps, do not intervene during the talk about the murder weapon, intervene during the talk about whether the culprit knew Gin’s number.

Council 5: Share the suicide data only, choose Darts or abstain in the Rule 1 accusation. Vote for Poker at the end.

Ending 12

Council 5:Get a majority vote on Cocktail and then don’t pick the left choice in Council 6. To guarantee the vote, follow these steps:

Hour 03: Investigate the counter.

Council 4: Choose to talk about the murder. Intervene during Cocktail’s testimony and also during the talk about the murder weapon, pick the left choice and select the piano area. Do not intervene during the talk about whether the culprit knew Gin’s number. Accuse Darts or abstain in the Rule 1 accusation.

Hour 04: Investigate the bathroom area.

Council 5: Bring up the bathroom key at the start, pick the right choice, and select the counter on the map. Share your black coffee data, ask Cocktail who hasn’t requested anything, then share the suicide data. Don’t vote for Poker at the end.

Ending 13

Same steps as Ending 12, but picking the left choice in Council 6.

Ending 14

Council 6 (True End path, Link made): Reach max tension. Fastest method is to let Cocktail talk, question the poison’s potency, and then intervene.

Ending 15

Council 6 (True End path, no Link made): Reach max tension. Follow the same steps as the previous ending.

Ending 16

Hour 05 (True End path): Don’t figure out anyone’s number at the start, then keep going until you reach the ending.

Ending 17

Council 7: Don’t reach max tension. What a twist! Simply avoid all interventions. You can also reach it by accusing rule 1.

Ending 18

Council 7: After reaching max tension and not starting an accusation against rule 1, accuse Poker of being rule 4.

Ending 19

Council 7: Once you reach the final billiards section, don’t intervene against anyone.

Ending 20

Council 8: There are two slightly different versions, but you only need one to complete the ending list…unless you really want to see both. Start an accusation against rule 1 and either accuse or show Poker your BARMAN screen.

Ending 21

Council 8: Get past the first choice section and instead of pleading to anyone, choose to attack Poker. You can also reach it by intervening in the deathly talk between Poker and Piano.

Ending 22

Council 8: Reach max tension. There are two slightly different versions, depending on which character you’re controlling when it happens, but you only need one to complete the ending list…unless you really want to see both. Pick wrong while avoiding choices that lead directly to one of the other bad ends.

Ending 23

Council 8: You’ll reach it naturally by avoiding the other bad ends and missing one or both of the true end requirements before the council (correct end of Council 7 and correct choices in this chapter). If you missed both, there will be an extra puzzle you’ll need to solve using data and hints. After the council, keep going until you reach the ending.

Ending 24

Council 9: Reach max tension. Just wait for it to fill on its own.

Ending 25

First, you need to reach the True End and have picked the “Death” choice in hour 09:00 at least once in any playthrough. Then:

Hour 03: Talk with Darts.

Hour 06: Go to the east sofa area and the piano area.

Hour 09: A new choice will appear at the start. Pick the bottom option.

???

Complete the rest of the ending list. Beyond Endings don’t count.

Steam Achievements

1 to 26:

Reach the corresponding endings.

27 and 28:

Reach endings 11 and 14, and after the True End, see Beyond them in the Registry.

29:

Reach all endings.

30:

Watch the extras for endings 23, 25, and 26 in the Registry.

31:

View all the character introduction interviews in the Profiles.

32:

Unmissable, just keep playing and don’t worry about it.

33:

In hour 04:00, get a Hint in the west area, then go to to the bathroom…or don’t, you’ll probably get it regardless.

34:

After reaching the True End, click the new option in the main menu.

35:

Pick all location choices in every chapter. Some might not count if you didn’t see the full scene. I’ll let you think of what that means…

36:

Okay, another hint. You need to click something that isn’t a button. If that’s not clear enough…It’s the time stamp in the BARMAN. Only when you open the menu yourself, though.

37:

Accuse a certain suspect. If you want the answer, accuse Darts (or abstain) in the Rule 1 accusation during council 4 or 5.

38:

Reach the end of a council at minimum tension. Council 1 is the best choice. Follow the True End guide to get it easily.

39:

Make a nonsense deduction at the end of a certain council. In Council 3, pick Bill as Rule 10. Enjoy the reaction.

40:

Get an overwhelming majority. In the Council 5 vote, make everyone pick Poker. If you need help, follow the Bad End 11 guide.

41:

Make a nonsense rule accusation (unofficially, not in a Council). In hour 06:00, when talking to Piano in the down area, pick rule 1.

42:

Get to 0 points with a certain someone… Follow the True End guide for Coffee points, but avoid the best choices and don’t talk with her on hour 03:00. Then, in the west area scene on 04:00, choose “Scold Coffee”. Congratulations, you made her mad!

43:

The hint is that you need to return to a certain place as your first investigation choice of a certain hour. Think of why that could be and you might find it. The answer is the bathroom in hour 06:00.

44:

Same deal as the previous one, but this time it’s the last choice of an investigation. This one is easier if you know what happens next. Entrance in hour 06:00.

45:

Be bold. Go for the kill. What could possibly go wrong? In Council 7, after the culprit is confirmed, take the dare.

46:

Lose the trial. I’m not talking about a Council. If you don’t know what that means yet, keep playing…

47:

Return.

48:

Snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. In Council 9, pick Gin’s ball when selecting a person.

49:

Unlock all your data.

50:

Unmissable, just keep playing and DO worry about it (?)

51:

Get the secret ending in one of the secret endings. Secretception. For a better hint, it’s an invisible choice in one of the Beyond endings. For the actual answer, near the end of Beyond Ending 11, close the BARMAN.

52

Keep the BARMAN menu open for 5 minutes. Just go do something else for a bit while the game runs, or you might get this naturally while reading through everything after the intro.

Talk with Coffee during the 03:00 investigation.

54

Whoa, hold up! I’m not gonna tell you EVERY answer. This achievement is off-limits. It has too much power, you can’t have it unless you find it on your own, sorry. And even if you figure it out, don’t do it, it’d be cheating!
