Hey Chat!
I just wanted to make a quick guide for our “Rookie Dream Slayers” That encapsulates some of the basics.
Currently we don’t have a tutorial and some things may be confusing at first so I hope this helps in the meantime.
More to come 🙂
Tip #1 Keybinds & Attacks
Keybinds in Dream Slayers are critical — especially your attack binds. Let’s break down one of the most important parts of your setup.

In Dream Slayers, every weapon type has three different attack variations, and mastering your controls is the key to surviving tough encounters. Make sure you bind these attacks to keys you can reach quickly, comfortably, and repeatedly, as fluid combat is a huge part of your success in the Dream Realm.
Each unique 3-attack combo you execute will also grant you a damage multiplier, rewarding players who stay intentional and precise with their inputs.

As your multiplier increases, your overall attack damage increases with it. You can always check your current damage output by looking at the number displayed beneath your Health and Stamina bars.

Tip #2 Resource Gathering
Resource Gathering is one of the core systems in Dream Slayers, and mastering it early will set you up for long-term success. Nearly everything you collect in the Dream Realm — from ores and herbs to monster drops — plays a role in crafting, upgrading gear, and progressing your character.
Let’s go through some of the gatherable items:

Magic Mushrooms are a consumable item that will restore your Health, making them especially useful during early-game encounters or long expedition runs.

Stamina Mushrooms are consumable items that provide a temporary stamina boost while also restoring any stamina you’ve lost. These are great for longer fights or quick escapes.

Death Mushroom is a consumable that won’t actually kill you. Go ahead and eat it — its effects are surprising, but harmless… mostly.

Wood Planks are primarily used for crafting and can be combined to create Refined Wood, which is essential for higher-tier recipes and upgrades.
Tip #3 Crafting
Crafting is a core part of progressing in Dream Slayers. If you want to forge the strongest weapons and best armor, you’ll need to become an excellent crafter! So let’s break down how it works.

There are several crafting benches scattered throughout the Dream Realm, but the main crafting area is located just down the street from the Blacksmith.
If you’re standing face-to-face with the Blacksmith, simply follow the path to your left.
Right outside this main hub, you’ll also find the Craft Supplies Store as well as the Trader inside, making it a convenient spot to gather materials, craft gear, and stock up on essentials.

In the Crafting Menu, you’ll find four main tabs: Materials, Weapons, Armor, and Gems.
Each tab contains the full list of recipes you can craft within that category, making it easy to navigate and track what you need to create stronger gear and upgrades.

To craft an item, you simply need to have all the required materials for that recipe in your inventory. Some items also require additional costs such as Gold or Essence, so make sure you have those on hand as well.
You can view the crafting cost by checking the small black number displayed above the item icon.
Once you have everything you need, just click the item’s icon to craft it.
(For example: click the Rock Blade to craft it.)
Tip #4 Trading
Trading is a fun and unique feature in Dream Slayers! Make friends, build connections, and exchange items for currency!
Currently, trading is server-local, meaning you can only trade with players who are on the same server as you. It is not a global trading post (for now), so be sure to coordinate with your friends or community members when setting up trades.

There is currently one Trading Post in the Dream Realm. You can find it located just south of the Potion & Enchanting Station and just north of the first Dream Slayer Statue in the center of town. It’s perfectly positioned for quick selling, buying, and trading during your runs.

When you enter the Trading Post, you’ll automatically see all the items in your inventory. The menu has two tabs:
• The Chest Icon = your inventory
• The Gold Bar Icon = items currently listed for trade
To list an item, simply select the item you want to sell, choose the quantity and price, and then click List at the bottom of the screen.

Once an item is listed, purchasing it is simple — just go to the Listed Items section and click on the item’s icon to buy it!
Tip #5 Enchanting
Let’s walk through how enchanting works and what you should watch out for!

The Enchanting Table and Enchanting Store are located just north of the Trading Post (when facing the Trading Post), and just west of the Crafting Table and Crafting Store. It’s easy to spot and perfectly placed for upgrading your gear right after crafting or trading.

After crafting one of the many Enchanting Gems at a Crafting Table, you can take that gem to the Enchanting Table and apply its abilities to the weapon or armor piece you’ve selected. This is how you unlock powerful stat boosts and special effects on your gear.

Currently in Dream Slayers, there are several types of Essence Fragments that you can combine into full Enchanting Gems. These gems can then be used to apply powerful buffs and effects to your gear.

Tip #6 NPC’s & Shops
The Shady Vendor will be your main source for all Tactical Essence Fragments. Save up your Essence and pay him a visit. He’s the go-to contact if you want to start crafting some of the more advanced enchanting gems.

He is located directly underneath the Main Portal and just west of the First Dream Slayer Statue (when facing the front of the statue). He’s hard to miss once you know where to look.

The Baker is famous for creating the best baked goods in the entire Dream Realm. If you’re looking for a quick Magical Healing Pie, be sure to browse her catalog for tasty and restorative treats.

She is located in the building directly behind the Crafting Supplies Store, or along the path west of the Blacksmith. It’s easy to find once you know the landmarks.

The Potion Vendor carries all the essential mystical potions to keep your Dream Slayer in top form against the enemies lurking in the dungeons. Stock up to stay prepared for any challenge!

She is located right next to the Enchanting Table, or just north of the Trading Post and Town Center. You won’t miss her when you’re in the area.

Dream Slayers has Pets! If you want a loyal companion, and you own the Pets and Pals DLC, visit the Pet Shop to find your new best friend!

The Pet Shop is located at the end of the road if you take the east path from the Blacksmith. It’s the perfect spot to pick up your new companion.

The Blacksmith provides all the basic armor and weaponry you need to get started. Be sure to visit him to make sure you’re well-equipped before heading into the dungeons.

The Blacksmith is located directly in front of spawn, making it easy to gear up right at the start of your adventure.
