Yes, you can still install mods if you downgrade the app after each update which is preventing melonloader from working. Here are instructions. Thanks to whoever originally commented this.
Open WIN + R and paste
“steam://open/console”
Then input this into the console
“download_depot 3301060 3301061 8228098102537752112”
Then find the folder “Steam\steamapps\content\app_3301060\depot_3301061” and paste it into the app folder which will overwrite the updates and allow custom VRM models to work in melonloader
