Overview of the creatures and such
Regular Creatures
He come in, he swing. Sometimes with a sword, sometimes with his fist.
Fast zombie
He come in, he swing, but fast. Thinner than the regular zombie.
Heavy zombie
Regular zombie’s big brother. Unlike their unarmored little brother, melee swings do not stun them out of their attacks..
Fly
He spit. I usually pick up the dagger special ability just to deal with these fellas in the early game. I hate them.
Bones Jones
He has a bone to pick with you. Which he then throws at you. He thinks it’s funny, but I don’t find it humerus.
Specials
Will combo the hell out of you if you are in close quarters and get hit. He also is the best weapon for most enemies in the game, since there is friendly fire. Takes a LONG time to kill in melee, but if you keep distance and shoot his enormous melon he goes down fairly quick
Banshee.
Essentially a fly with knockdown and more health. Matrix dodges headshots on the regular.
Werewolf.
Harder than most bosses if it isn’t a 1v1, or if there are two of them. Puts your parry skills to the test. Shooting them in the leg and crippling them makes them much easier to deal with, but usually you dont have the time to do that.
Manbat, demon-thing. Vampire? I dont know
You can shoot a wing off and ground them, essentially making them a heavy zombie. Shooting them in the head while they are flying knocks them to the ground where you can land more headshots or just get some breathing room. The humble frying pan absolutely devastates these guys, as well as the exploding rifle.
Heavier Zombie
Heavy zombie’s big brother. Covered in armor that takes a while to chip away, and has a shotgun. Headshots while he is aiming is the best way to deal with them, but you can knock his armor off with enough damage to it.
Bosses
Has a one-two combo, a “nothing personal, kid” dash, a slam that leaves a flame trail that if you walk on, can hurt you, and can also stunlock you to death if you get hit from the slam and are unlucky enough to land on the flame trail. Oh, and he has a shotgun that he takes his sweet time to aim.
He speeds up all his attacks when he is around 1/3 of his health.
Arachne
This boss isn’t too bad, if you can see it. At distance, it will either spit on you, or jump at you for an attack. At close range, does a sweep with one of it’s legs, a poke, or some kind of dash-lunge.Any spread weapons absolutely devastates this guy because of how big and easy to hit he is.
Quuen Elenid
Boring, according to Juliet. Summons zombie peons to harass you. Her attacks can be a 3-round burst from her pistol, an explosive charged pistol shot, a firebolt, a lightning blast, a bomb throw, or a backhand. Oh, and she goes invisible and walks around.
If you have a bow-type weapon, or daggers, you can see her walking around while she is invisible because the arrows in her forehead don’t go invisible with her.
Cormac
Ripped. Where did Eadgar even find this guy? Why is he so yoked?
For ranged attacks, he has a four-way flame line that he throws out (like Eadgar’s, but more), a sweep attack that covers half the arena, a lightning bolt, and a 4-burst barrage of firebolts.
At close range, he has two-variations of a dropkick, and a fast punch. These do a lot of damage, probably because he is absolutely shredded. The kicks can launch you off the tower if you are close enough to the edge.
My recommendation is to not be near the edge if you can help it. I usually save up parts to get a legendary before this fight, and most legendaries tear through his health bar.
Juliet
10 coin skin is best skin.
Bonus/Fun Facts
On the gears, your bullets curve with the momentum. It’s very jarring.
Best weapons, in my opinion, are hand cannon, shotgun, flamethrower. lever-action shotgun, rifle, and then any of the legendaries (my particular favorite is the headshot revolver legendary, not to be confused with the headshot revolver that explodes SPECIFICALLY heavy zombie on headshots)
Juliet will sometimes use her sorceress powers to act like she is sitting on a barrel. This is not a bug, this is a feature and a flex of her powers. On an unrelated note, I wish I was a barrel sometimes.
I was going to include pictures (still might) but taking a good picture of a werewolf was, well, a nightmare.
If you like this game, you’ll probably also like Slay the Minotaur. If you like Juliet, you’ll also probably like Slay the Minotaur.
