Get the Naked and Ironman achievements in 1 run using Medic.
Intro
The general strategy is:
- Use Medic’s skills to guarantee that losses always break out of the negatives
- Rank up slowly so that the amount of negative Q is low
- Get to level 25
- Q-Up
- Win
We’ll also play offline to mitigate the risk of other players causing you to de-rank. The bots have simple builds and won’t mess with you.
I’ve included the rank I was at when levelling up as a reference, your actual rank will vary slightly based on luck. I also didn’t use the rewards from levels 26 or 27 in my run, you can win at level 25 with no risk. Anything past level 25 is just to help speed things up a little.
In total, the run will take ~3 hours since we are playing it safe and we don’t have access to Turbo, or any way to gain additional XP outside of skills. Most of your time will be spent waiting to level up. Turn on a movie or something so you don’t get bored.
If you’d rather do a separate run for each achievement (might be faster? but not as cool), or if you only want one of them, you can try these changes:
For Naked: You can put Heroine and Angel of Death on the board sooner (check their positions in the image for level 25). You might de-rank if your battle bonus resets at a bad time, but overall you’ll rank up faster.
For Ironman: You can buy XP items, do challenges, and unlock PVP which will speed this up a lot. Avoid items that give you Q or QMult before level 25, since they will add a lot of additional risk by ranking you up before you can break out of the negatives on the new rank.
I can’t guarantee you won’t get really really unlucky and de-rank, but, based on my 4 attempts while building this guide, I feel confident in claiming that it is impossible to de-rank at any point in the run. As long as you don’t get to Master before hitting level 25 you literally can’t de-rank, and I never got out of Platinum before level 25 in any of my attempts. Once you hit 25, you can survive a Grandmaster 5 first-flip loss with only 1 battle bonus, i.e. the most you can possibly lose with the least you can possibly gain. So, it is literally impossible to lose… I think?
Levels 1 – 5
Current Rank: Bronze 1
Before you Q-Up, open up the settings and enable Always Play Offline. Leave it on for the rest of run.
Current Rank: Bronze 2
Put Focus next to EMT.
Current Rank: Bronze 2
Put Exhiliration off to the side.
Spend your upgrade point on the Q x Battle Bonus upgrade for EMT.
Current Rank: Bronze 5
Spend your upgrade point on the next Q x Battle Bonus upgrade for EMT.
Current Rank: Bronze 5
Put Surgeon in the center.
Current Rank: Silver 1
Spend the upgrade point to increase AVS for EMT.
Put Angel after everything else.
Current Rank: Silver 2
Spend the upgrade point to increase AVS for EMT.
Current Rank: Silver 2
Put Adrenaline next to Focus and EMT.
Current Rank: Silver 3
Spend the upgrade point to increase AVS for EMT.
Levels 11-15
Current Rank: Silver 5
Spend the upgrade point on the last upgrade for EMT.
Current Rank: Silver 5
Move Adrenaline up one and put Stimulant next to Focus/EMT/Adrenaline.
Current Rank: Silver 5
Put the upgrade point on Precision Cut’s 750Q upgrade for now.
Current Rank: Gold 1
Leave Heroine off the board until later.
Current Rank: Gold 1
Move Focus next to Panic.
Take the upgrade point off of Precision Cut and then upgrade Panic to level 2.
Levels 16-20
Current Rank: Gold 1
Put the Upgrade Point on Panic.
Current Rank: Gold 2
Put Funeral Rites last.
Current Rank: Gold 3
Put the upgrade point on Precision Cut’s 750Q upgrade.
Current Rank: Gold 3
Put Extra Dose above Angel.
Current Rank: Gold 3
Put the upgrade point on Precision Cut’s 1000Q upgrade.
Levels 21-27
Current Rank: Gold 4
Put the upgrade point onto Precision Cut’s 1250Q upgrade
Current Rank: Gold 4
Leave Angel of Death off the board until later.
Current Rank: Gold 5
Put the upgrade point onto Precision Cut’s AVS.
Current Rank: Platinum 1
Put Low Point next to Precision Cut and remove 2 of Precision Cut’s Q upgrades to max out its AVS.
Current Rank: Platinum 2
Take all the upgrade points off of Precision Cut. Take the upgrade point from EMT’s last AVS upgrade.
Fully upgrade Stop the Bleeding.
Move Low Point next to Angel, and Extra Dose next to Stop the Bleeding.
Put Heroine above Focus, and Angel of Death below Funeral Rites.
If you get a good losing streak, you can hit Anomaly now.
Current Rank: Master 5
Leave Battle Hardened off the board since we don’t have PVP.
Current Rank: Grandmaster 3
Put Deployment above Panic.
Put the upgrade point on Precision Cut’s 750Q upgrade.
Q-Up until you hit Anomaly.
