Scorpion Rider
The best fight to get this achievement is in the scorpion fight in area 1. In this battle, there is a slot on the board called small opening. When you place attack dice on the small opening, that attack is then applied to the scorpion rider. When the scorpion rider is defeated, the scorpion is stunned and cannot attack you.
On D0 difficulty, the Scorpion Rider has 12 HP. So as long as you have a good way to deal at least 12 damage on a single spot, then at any point, you can stun the scorpion for 2 turns and deal massive amounts of damage.
There are several good ways to guarantee 12 damage, but the best way is definitely using flash attack. When you play a flash attack on the small opening, it is played immediately, which means you can play another attack die to target the rider in the same turn. This is especially powerful if you can use your boost dice both times when you play your first flash and your second attack.
Of course, if you have the opportunity to put flash on a terrain die, that’s another great way to amp up damage on that single tile. Now of course, flash is reasonably rare, but you have a chance to find it in either of the two area 1 shops, and there is a small chance to find it in events.
Another way is to use a d8 attack die like Cinder’s starting splash attack. If you upgrade that die to silver, you can have a 50% chance to roll a 6. If you upgrade your boost dice, you can target any space with 2 three’s except for the center slot. This isn’t guaranteed, but if you also carry a boost or might potion, you will probably be able to get 12 damage consistently.
