How to Fix
Follow these steps to ensure your cutscenes look perfect on your ultrawide screen.
- Launch HxD, a hex editing software.
- Press
Control + O
to open the game’s executable file. - Navigate to
\steamapps\common\Split Fiction\Split\Binaries\Win64
and selectSplitFiction.exe
. - Press
Control + R
to open the search function. - Go to the Hex Values tab.
- Search for the hex sequence

. - Replace it with
8E E3 18 40
or other resolution codes listed below. - Activate the “Search direction all” option.
- Press “Change everything” to apply the modification.
- Save the edited file in the original location, overwriting the old executable.
