How to get around this thing
The Purge Event is a unique moment in ENA: Dream BBQ, partially because of its confusing layout. The map is designed in a deliberately strange and obtuse way with rooms filled with nondescript entities and blocked doorways. On your first go you probably don’t realize how much is actually in here and will most likely miss the rest of the characters you didn’t stumble into. If you want to take in everything before the puzzle, this guide is for you.
The event takes place in a five by five grid with two hallway sections. I’m labeling everything by row then square. So R1S1 would mean the first square in the first row. Arrows indicate if there’s a door you can go through. If there is no line, that means it is blocked.
Things to see
- Bunrako Man (R1S2), Heh-Ito (R3S3) and Mitu (R1S5) are the only characters here that progress the plot. You can choose any of the three you want.
- Taski Maiden is here at S2R4 and has three lines.
- The Glasses Dog is in R2S1.
- The Extinction Party easter egg happens in R3S1 and shows the hallways from the episode. You cannot enter it as the doors close before you can make it.
- Some characters like the incidental blobs or the cowboy(?) dancer in R3S5 may not appear on some playthroughs. It seems to change slightly each go.
