Realms

Qi Refining Realm contains 10 Layers, each with increasingly larger amounts of Cultivation needed. Foundation Realm follows. (more information needed, please share below)

Efficient gameplay

Comprehension

This is by far the most important statistic to increase, and if I were to restart I would focus entirely on this one to begin with, as each point in Comprehension increases your Cultivation gain by +1%.

Stamina regeneration – IMPORTANT

Cultivation seems to be one of the most important metrics for progression, especially within the Sects in Cultivation Idle. If you are in need of Stamina or Sanity for tasks but also need to progress your Realm, simply go to the World Map and Cultivate in an area, and you’ll have a +5-10 Stamina/h and Spirit bonus on top of your Cultivation! (This appears to only work when your Stamina/Spirit is below maximum)

There is no reason to ever Rest for +2 Stamina/h, as both the +8 and +2 options in the Idle Rest menu are marked as “No cost”.

Weather Events

Spirit Rain has been the most desireable weather event in my eyes. The +18% Cultivation gain cannot be ignored and personally increased my Cultivation gain from +0.13 to +0.18 for the few minutes the event lasts. Whilst the Herb Gathering bonus is great, it pales in comparison to the Cultivation Gain, and I wouldn’t recommend doing anything else when this event is active.

Overcast/Dusk Clouds/Clouded Night on the other hand are terrible for Cultivation gain, lowering it by -10%, though this event is great for farming Special Materials, especially from Monsters, as it also provides a +5% Dodge on top of the +20% Special Material gain.

Fog is quite similar to the three Events above, however it boasts and extra +5% for a total of +25% Special Material drop, with -5% Danger as well as +8% Dodge, making it one of the best events for farming non-Monster Special Materials.

Speaking of non-Monster materials, the Rain event is great for its +30% Herb Gathering, though it can also be taken advantage of for its +10% Cultivation gain. One must decide whether to use this opportunity to gain more Cultivation or to prepare more Pills for combat, though beware when gathering, as this event also lowers your attack speed by -5%.

Rain has a variant named Spirit Tide which is by far the best Cultivation gain event I have yet seen, with a huge +26% Cultivation gain, and you should always be Cultivating during this event. Check it out below.
