Mawgate: 100% Walkthrough

This game doesn’t have a save system so make sure you have enough time to complete it in one session. But it does have in game checkpoints that save progress in the current session.
WASD to move, E to interact, LMB = left mouse button, RMB = right mouse button.
This walkthrough avoids the usage of healing items or shooting to get the Dorothy’s Dream and Pain Free! achievements.
Since you can’t use healing items for the Pain Free! achievement, it’s recommended to use the in game checkpoints and sometimes intentionally die if you take too much damage from avoiding enemies.

The walkthrough

Go down, then left to find the first save room.

Welcome Home Reached the first save room.

Pick up the gun and lantern from the dead nurse. Using RMB can help to light up dark areas or to bait enemies.
Walk up, avoid the enemy, interact with the parrot in the cage.

What A Friendly Bird Interact with the parrot in the Upper Hallway

Then go left, use code 1003 for the chest, pick up the stethoscope.
Go right, bottom left, move the paintings so they show 1003 from left to right, with the building 0 painting on the left.

Time & Place Finish the painting puzzle

Then go down, two enemies to avoid here, read the letter on the bench.

Mentally Unwell Read Emily’s letter

Go left, pick up the silver key.
Go right, then right, one enemy to avoid here, turn off the light on the right, turn off the light near the safe, press tab, use the stethoscope on the safe. Scroll down to 20, LMB, scroll up to 11, LMB, scroll down to 6, LMB.

Master of Unlocking Opened the safe

Pick up the golden key and return to the first save room using the top right door in the big room, save, then up to the locked door near the parrot to open it.

Don’t Open That Door! Opened the silver/gold key door

Walk through the winding halls to go right. One ranged enemy to avoid here, go right, then go bottom right to find the second save room.

Ignominious & Pale Reached the second save room.

Interact with the puzzle in the middle, use WASDZC to rotate the shadow to match the symbol.

Who Builds This #!&%? Finish the shadow puzzle

Save to the right of the puzzle. Go top left, then bottom left, pick up the rusty cog opposite of the parrot.
Go upper right, one enemy to avoid here, pick up the stone trumpet then go left.
Go up, tab, use the stone trumpet on the middle statue, go bottom right.
One enemy to avoid here, pick up the stone staff, go up, pick up the acid.
Go down, then upper right, pick up the salt.
Go down, one enemy and one ranged enemy to avoid here, pick up the vinegar on the table and stone sword, then go left twice.
Go top left, press tab to use acid, then stone staff on the right statue, stone sword on the left statue, then go top right.
Pick up the small cog, then go down and bottom right. Tab, RMB to combine vinegar with salt, then that combined item with rusty cog.
Go top right, tab, use the two cogs on the mechanism on the wall.

Gears of Maw Insert the two gears in the gate

Now you can walk past the fence, go up.
Go down to reach the last save room.

The Art of Dying Reached the last save room.

Go right and right, after talking to William, you’ll meet Dr. Hawley.

The Man in Shadow Meet the unpleasant Dr. Hawley

One enemy to avoid, interact with the machine in the middle, click on the left, use the bottom left lever four times to add 16, then the top left lever to remove 3, back to the machine click on the middle, use the top right lever to add 10, then the bottom right lever to remove 5, back to the machine, click on the right, use the bottom left lever four times to add 16, then the bottom right lever to remove 5 and interact with the machine.
After the cutscene the last achievements unlock.
