This is a guide on how to do the most efficient technique to fill the Worship Gauge fast using the Altar, Library and lighthouse

Thank you for reading my guide, if you see any errors, tell me in the comments 🙂
The method
To do this method the fastest way you will need :
- A tier 3 Library
- A tier 2 Lighthouse manned by someone with balanced sanity
- A tier 2 Town Hall
- 2 survivors with the Born Explorer trait
This is the bare minimum that you will need :
- A tier 2 Library
- A manned Lighthouse
- A tier 1 Town Hall
- 1 survivor ( with Born Explorer trait if possible )
Making offerings

One offering can be made at the Altar every day, you can either sacrifice 10 nutrition or 10 morale for 25% of the Altar Gauge or sacrifice a survivor for 15% of the Altar Gauge per level the survivor has.
A bit of information
- Starting on day 6, you can already upgrade the Library to tier 2 as well as the Lighthouse if you’ve been working efficiently.
- The Library might seem like an useless building, however with the Tier 2 Library recruited survivors can immediately be leveled up to level 2. This means that the daily survivor coming at the Light House is already worth 30% Altar Gauge, which is already more than the 10 nutrition or 10 morale.
- If the survivor manning the Lighthouse has a balanced sanity, expeditions will bring 1 more survivor.
- The Born Explorer trait allows expeditioners to bring back higher tier survivors and is available when reaching lvl 5.
- Hosting survivors at the Lighthouse lets us prevent them from being replaced the next day, at the cost of their daily upkeeps.
Step-by-Step explanations
- Starting on day 6, you already want to do an expedition to level up your survivor so you can get the Born Explorer trait as fast as possible This should only take 1 expedition if you’ve already been manning structures with this survivor.
- The next day, you are going to send another one on an expedition.
- When the first expeditioner comes back, he should be at least Lvl 5, this means we can give him the Born Explorer trait and send him on another expedition.
- We are going to do the same thing with this our second expeditioner when he comes back.
- The first expeditioner will now come back with survivors that are already lvl 4.
( Because of the Library and Born Explorer trait ). So we can already sacrifice them for a staggering 60% Altar Gauge ! before sending our expeditioner on new expeditions. - Now both expeditioners should be lvl 5, each day we will now sacrifice the survivors that comes back from the expeditions while leveling up the survivor manning the Ligthhouse’s sanity so that our expeditioners now bring back 2 survivors.
- Now we only need 1 expeditioner, every time the expeditioner comes back, we will sacrifice one of the survivors he brings us, and Host the other one, to sacrifice him the following day.
- Goodjob! Now you just need to do expedition, sacrifice, host, sacrifice, repeat.
*Since we only need 1 expeditioner for our daily sacrifices, the other one can be used to find survivors for our camp.
Some math for the skepticals
By doing this method we gain 60% of the Altar Gauge every day and 75% if the Library is level 3.
Hosting one survivor in place every 2 days costs us their daily upkeeps, which ill estimate at 3 nutrition and 3 morale.
Here’s a short comparison of how much the Altar Gauge will be at after 10 days between sacrificing food or moral and survivors :
Sacrificing 10 nutrition / moral a day => 250% Altar Gauge and 100 nutrition / moral wasted
Sacrificing one lvl 4 survivor a day => 600% Altar Gauge and 30 nutrition / moral wasted
Conclusion
Sacrificing survivors with this technique is 3 times less wasteful of ressources and 2.4 times faster than sacrificing food, and this is with a tier 2 Library !
If you have done everything correctly, your Memorial should look like this
