A guide to becoming a legendary fisherman (Bob).
Getting Strated
Difficulty: Very easy. Even a paralyzed fisherman could unlock this achievement.
To unlock the achievement, you need to buy a fishing rod and make your first catch, following the instructions from the in-game tutorial.

After that, you must kill the caught creature using any method available to you.
Drip
Difficulty: Very easy. Anyone with hands can unlock this achievement.
To unlock this achievement, you need to catch a “super-creature.” You must perform a ritual that is completely routine for any fisherman; after doing so, there is a chance that the notification indicating a catch will appear in rainbow colors.

Next, you will need to kill this creature using any method available to you.
Speaking of super-creatures, it is worth noting their function: they are used in slot machines. These machines are located across various areas; by using super-creatures and mini-boss trophies, you can win skins for your equipment (weapons and fishing rods).

It is also worth noting that the available skins depend on which island the machine is located on (the pool of available skins expands with each island).
Who stole my bear
Difficulty: It’s piss-easy.
To complete this achievement, you need to buy beer from the lighthouse shop.

Then give it to the old man on the bench.

In return for your gift, keeper will return an empty bottle to you, which you can use as bait to trigger your first boss attack. Congratulations!

Next, you need to kill him before the timer next to his HP runs out.
To kill the boss without too much trouble, you need to buy a weapon of the appropriate level. (In this location, that’s a knife and brass knuckles.) Attack the boss only when he stuns, which allows you to attack him without taking damage.

After killing the boss, it will drop its shell and crab sticks.

You’ll need to hand over the shell to keeper, and he’ll give you the keys to the boat. The crab sticks can be exchanged for money or eaten.
Noob
Difficulty: It couldn’t be simpler.
To unlock the achievement, you must destroy any сreature without multipliers. It’s not big deal.
Getting an upgrade
Difficulty: Eaaaaasy.
To complete this achievement, you’ll need to travel to the next island after the lighthouse. To do this, you’ll need to purchase a radar from the old man.

Next, after boarding the boat, follow the green marker on the radar. This will take you to the next island.

After accumulating $230, you can purchase a boat upgrade. It’s located to the right of the new grandfather.
Dinnertime
Difficulty: It’s fine.
To complete this achievement, you need three leeches, which are lying in the grass on the green island and give them to the villager on the rock.

She’ll give you a new tackle, and you’ll have to use it to catch a new boss.

The new boss is a large feather that really likes to spawn smaller feathers.

- It’s worth buying a new weapon (pistol/shotgun). You can even upgrade its bullets with a box of bullets, which will be found next to the new fishing rod and weapon.

Or buy a laser sight to make hip shooting easier (without a scope). - If possible, ignore the small feathers, as killing the boss is more important. Kill only those that are very close to you.
- You can also use the boss’s summoning power to your advantage by eating the small feathers you kill to restore HP.
After killing the boss, it will drop its skeleton and meat.

After giving the skeleton to the villager, she will give you a flash drive with a tracker for a new island.
Opening your radar, you will see a new light. Follow it to reach the new island.
Let me go
Difficulty: It is harder not to do it.
To complete this achievement, you need to die and wait for a passing seagull to pick you up. If there’s a seagull above you, all you have to do is not press the respawn button and simply await your fate.

Impressive
Difficulty: You’ll most likely complete it just by playing the game anyway.
To complete this achievement, you need to kill any creature with a x5 multiplier.
Tips for completing: try to kill the creature without using a scope while jumping and aiming for a headshot or something similar.
- 360 (1.5x)
- Headshot (1.25x)
- Last bullet (1.25x)
- From the air (1.25x)
- Overpower (1.25x)
- No scope (1.2x)
- Close range (1.1x)
Grillmaster
Difficulty: A very simple mini-boss fight.
To complete this achievement, you need to light a bonfire on Island 3.
To do this, you need to buy standard boss lure and fish it out.

The mini-boss is a shark that jumps after you and bites your ass. That’s all.

No tips on killing the boss are needed. Just run in circles and shoot at him.
After killing the boss, he will drop his body, which you can give to the NPC near the grill.

It will open up a world of culinary possibilities that, when properly cooked, will give any fish you own 1.5x the value. I recommend holding down the F key while frying to monitor the doneness of the meat.
GOLD GOLD GOLD
Difficulty: It depends on your luck.
To earn this achievement, you need to gambling the slot machine, either with a super creature or with boss trophies.

There’s a chance you’ll get a legendary skin.
Tip: If you don’t want to spend a lot of time catching super creatures, you can simply kill the boss from the first location and throw its shell into the machine.
360 no scope
Difficulty: A piece of cake.
To earn this achievement, you need to kill any creature with a 360-degree turn without using a scope. This is easiest to accomplish with a sniper rifle or shotgun, using a friend as a target, but it can be achieved with any weapon. (For ease of completion, it’s best to purchase a laser sight.)
Vacation
Difficulty: You’ll have to put in some real effort here.
To do this, you need to trade for mini-boss bait from a resting NPC using endangered fish species. Endangered species include: PIGEONFISH, SEA HORSE,
FISH-IN-AQUARIUM. Then, fish up the boss and try to kill it. The boss is a pufferfish with two attack phases. The second phase begins when the boss reaches exactly 50% HP.
Phase one – a small rooster running after you.
Phase two – a farting fat man who has lost all interest in you.
Stage one: Hold Walk to the side and try to hit the boss. (IMPORTANT: DO NOT HOLD SHIFT)
This way, you’ll circle around, making it harder for the boss to hit you.
Stage 2: Once you realize the boss is no longer aggroing you, but is simply farting and running around the map, try to avoid the poison clouds that deal significant damage to you, and shoot at him.

Ultimate tip: Buy and upgrade a good weapon. You can buy an UZI, but some might find it easier to kill bosses with a shotgun due to its easier aim. When buying an UZI, be sure to also buy a compensator to significantly reduce recoil.
I am speed
Difficulty: Very easy, but it might be costly at this stage of the game.
To get this achievement, you need to install all attachments on one weapon. The cheapest and easiest way to do this is on the UZI. Once you’ve farmed enough money (~$2,500), go to the attachment stand and buy a compensator, laser sight, red dot sight, and extended magazine. I also recommend upgrading your bullets to make killing the pufferfish less annoying.

Yummy in my tummy
Difficulty: If only every day were like this.
To earn this achievement, you need to completely burn any edible creature on the grill and eat it.
Terrorizing bird
Difficulty: Difficult. A bird is not a fish, it’s harder to kill!
To complete this achievement, you need to kill a giant seagull.
To summon it, you need to catch and kill the miniboss Tuna. Catching the Tuna is easy; you just need to buy professional boss lure from the store and use it. Killing the Tuna shouldn’t be too difficult if you’ve killed any other miniboss before.

Once you have the Tuna’s corpse in your hands, you can summon the seagull. Place the Tuna in the middle of the island and wait for the terrifying seagull to take it.
The seagull has 2 types of attacks:
- Ramming one of the players. This attack is extremely difficult to dodge. It is recommended to use the house for cover.
- Dropping droppings on the fishermen’s heads. A simple attack; simply move out of the seagull’s line of fire.
It is easiest to kill the seagull in a group. While the seagull is attacking one player, the others fire at it with their available arsenal and, if one of their allies dies, they raise them with punches to the face.
If you are a lone fisherman, the boss fight will be a challenge. The ramming attack is very difficult to dodge, so it is best to use the roof of the barbecue for cover. When the seagull starts diving at you, you need to run behind the grill.

Deadliest catch
Difficulty: With proper preparation, it’s easier than killing a pufferfish.
To complete this achievement, you need to exchange any 5 creatures for whale bait with an NPC in a hazmat suit. Then, you need to catch the whale.

The boss is a fairly large whale with two types of attacks.
1 – Chasing attack. He lunges at you little by little, trying to hit you with his large body. 2 – The boss jumps up and falls on one of the poor guys.
For a comfortable boss fight, you need to catch the gastropods that spawn near lava sources and fry them in the lava. They heal almost all your HP with one hit.

You also need to buy an assault rifle with all attachments and a maximum ammo capacity of ~$85,000.
Once you’ve assembled this setup, you can begin killing the boss.
The method for fighting the boss can be divided into two parts. The first is dodging the first type of attack – simply run in a circle around the boss and shoot at it. The second is dodging attacks from the air. You need to figure out which of the poor guys the boss will jump on (if you’re playing with others).
Then, that poor guy must run away from the attack zone while the boss is in the air.
We are so back
Difficulty: It might not work the first time.
To complete this achievement, you need to pick up the whale’s body and climb straight to the top of the volcano along the path.

Afterwards, you need to throw the whale into the volcano’s mouth. The final boss of this game will spawn above you. I could congratulate you, but it’s too early. You need to defeat him.
The boss is a magma version of the regular whale, with the same attack pattern, except for the lava pools it leaves behind. Be careful with them, as they inflict a burning effect that deals quite a bit of damage.

The boss fight tactics are similar to those for the regular whale described in the “Deadliest Catch” section, except you need to avoid the lava lakes.
Stock up on fried gastropods and give this mammal a good beating.
All in
Difficulty: Easy. Any avid angler can unlock this achievement!
To get this achievement, you need to get a top-tier Burmolding on any green x35 table and win. (They only appear on the last and second-to-last islands.)

Tip: If possible, Burmolding a fish worth ~$3,000 so that when you win, it’s worth over $100,000, which will allow you to complete the “Millionaire” achievement.
Competitive eating
Difficulty: Just to stuff one’s face.
To get this achievement, you need to eat any mini-boss. Amazing!
Difficulty: Lightweight. Any angler can lift their boat.
The easiest way to get the achievement is to throw dynamite under the boat.
Easy
Difficulty: The name speaks for itself!
To get this achievement, you need to kill the boss within 10 seconds. It seems so.
Tip: Buy a decent weapon and kill the very first boss in the lighthouse.
Collector
Difficulty: The name speaks for itself!
To complete this achievement, you’ll need to be patient and methodically catch all the creatures with their corresponding lures. The final island is best for this, as all bait is available for purchase there.
A list of all the fish and their corresponding lures can be found in the screenshots below:

Rich! Millionarie
Difficulty: It all depends on your luck.
To earn this achievement, you need gambling a fish worth more than 3,000 dollars into the green slot on the roulette, defeat it, and sell it.

Tip: The easiest way to complete this achievement is to use fish from the final island caught with scientific lure.
Everyone’s dream
Difficulty: It’s not difficult.
- Climb the volcano on the last island and wait for a seagull to literally fly into your hands. Then, throw it or detonate it yourself.

- Place a dead fish and dynamite nearby, wait for a seagull to come for food, and detonate the dynamite with any weapon. (A sniper rifle is best, but it’s not necessary).
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE FISH CARCASS ON YOUR ISLAND SO THAT THE SEAGULL DOESN’T ATTACK THE FISH WITHOUT DYNAMITE NEARBY
Handyman
Difficulty: Hard. Not every angler is up to the task!
To earn this achievement, you need to finish off the boss with your fists.
Tip: Following the advice in the “We are so Back” section, reduce the boss’s HP to the lowest possible level using assault rifles, then hit him with your fists. To make this achievement easier, you’ll need a teammate to heal our unfortunate boxer.
Fishipedia
Difficulty: Extremely tedious. It can take hours to complete.
To earn this achievement, you must catch a super version of every creature available in the game. The task is similar to the “Collector” achievement, but requires more free time and patience.
- Use the final island as a fishing spot.
- Cast your line as far as possible. This will increase the number of fish you catch per spin.
- If the creature catch message isn’t rainbow, release the fish immediately and continue spinning the line until the message changes to rainbow.

All fish species and their corresponding lures can be found in the “Collector” section.
Bean
Difficulty: Hardest. A task manageable only by classic fisherman.
To complete this achievement, you need to get your act together and prepare for a speedrun.
There are two ways to complete the game in an hour: the default speedrun and replacing game files.
First, let’s look at the standard speedrun. The guide will then be divided into islands:
First Island: Farm $60 on mussels as quickly as possible.
Next, we buy a knife, a fishing rod and beer. Kill the boss, turn in all the loot, buy a radar, and head to the next island. (The guide to killing the boss can be found above.)
Second Island: First, I recommend collecting 3 leeches and turning them in to the villager, but don’t take the boss bait yet. First, throw away the knife, buy some dynamite, and use it to save up for a shotgun ($150). After that, farm for the initial boss bait ($40) and farm until you max out your ammo ($90). Then, take the boss bait and kill him. (The guide to killing the boss can be found above.) Turn in all the loot and head to the next island.
Third Island: First, buy a fishing rod and standard bait, then try to catch an endangered fish species (Needlefish, Seahorse, Fish-in-an-Aquarium) and hand it over to a vacationer. After that, kill the boss (guide above) and sail to the next island.
Fourth Island: First, buy professional bait and save up $8-9,000 with it. Use this to buy professional bait for the boss, a PP, and upgrade the silencer and the Uvelmag with ammo. Kill the tuna, place it in the center of the location, and kill the seagull. Sell everything and head to the next island. (guide above)
Final Island: First, buy scientific bait and use it to save up for a full PP upgrade. (If you fully upgraded your PP on the previous island, you’ll need ~$16,000).
Next, buy dynamite and throw it into the water as close to land as possible. Collect the fish and give them to the guy with chemical protection. After that, fry the gastropods for healing and kill both bosses. (both guides above)
Second method: Create a new run. Exit it. Find the file on your computer at: “C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\Dazed Games\How to Fish\Saves” There, find the folder with the name of your run and in that file, change “Spawnedlsland” to 4 and “FinalBossKilled” to true. Next, enter the race and sail away from the final island.
