Memoirs are an integral part of the gameplay. They consist of video footage that can be recorded starting from Scene 3. While some Memoirs are story-related, others are optional and count as collectibles (22). The footage for these collectibles is marked with a tape symbol in the Scene Selection menu.

Note that footage can appear in multiple scenes (it will automatically unlock in all relevant scenes) and that sometimes not every unique piece of footage is required to complete Memoirs. For instance, the optional ‘Graffiti’ Memoir only requires 10 pieces of footage, even though there are at least 50 unique graffiti scattered throughout the game, each counting separately in the Scene Selection menu. This means you don’t need to find every single piece of footage to unlock all collectibles.

The footage listed in the ‘Collectibles’ section is sufficient to unlock all optional Memoirs.

You can edit (reorder and replace) the footage of Memoirs in the Camcorder menu at any time and as often as you want. Some Memoirs can be created using different pieces of footage. For instance, you can record the following items for the story-related Memoir ‘My Room’ in Scene 3:
