Solutions
Sometimes changing to a faster, more stable public DNS helps with overall packet delivery.
Open your Network & Internet Settings -> Ethernet (or Wi-Fi adapter properties).
Look for DNS server assignment and click Edit.
Set your Preferred DNS to: 1.1.1.1
Set your Alternative DNS to: 1.0.0.1
Step 2: Check Time Synchronization via Command Prompt
Your clock might look fine, but the internal Windows time service could be out of sync.
Press Win + R, type cmd, and open the Command Prompt as Administrator.
Run the following command to check your current time status:
w32tm /query /status
If the source says Local CMOS Clock or shows as unsynchronized, proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Force Sync with Global Servers
To fix the time synchronization globally (automatically using the closest time server for any country), run the following commands one by one in the Administrator Command Prompt:
• Configure Windows to use the official global NTP pools and Google time servers:
w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:”pool.ntp.org time.google.com” /syncfromflags:manual /update
-(Note: pool.ntp.org automatically redirects players to the nearest official time servers in their respective countries).
• Stop the Windows Time service:
net stop w32time
• Start the Windows Time service again:
net start w32time
• Force an immediate synchronization:
w32tm /resync
• Step 4: Verify the Fix – Run the status check command again:
w32tm /query /status
If your source now displays an external server (like pool.ntp.org) and the status changes to synchronized, the issue is fixed!
Troubleshooting Note:
If the commands fail to sync, try switching your Ethernet cable to a different port on your router, or swap the cable entirely, then try running the commands in Step 3 once more.
