Stygian: Outer Gods – How to Solve the Otherworld Face Puzzle (Glowing Eyes)

This one covers the face puzzle in the Otherworld and how to unlock the Eyes Wide Open achievement along with it. If you’ve hit that wall of glowing-eyed faces and stalled, this is the walkthrough I wish I’d had on hand from the start.

The trick here is simpler than the visuals suggest, and that’s exactly why it gets under your skin — once you see the pattern, you’ll wonder how you missed it. I’m writing it down because the solution lives entirely in details that are easy to overlook when you’re staring down a whole wall of masks.

How the Face Puzzle Works

You’ll find a wall lined with faces, and every face has lit-up eyes. Each one acts as a button you can interact with — and here’s the thing that tripped me up: it doesn’t matter which eye you press, left or right. Both register the same, so don’t waste time trying to be clever about which one you pick.

The real key is on their foreheads. Every face is marked with a symbol, and those symbols are the whole solution. Your goal is to activate the faces whose symbols contain dots arranged like pips on a die — from 1 up to 5. Count the dots, match them to the matching faces, and press those.

Which Masks to Activate

Below are the masks you need to trigger. What I’d tell you before you start hammering faces: keep the die-pip rule in your head the entire time, because it’s tempting to lose track once you’ve pressed a few and the wall starts lighting up. Match each symbol to its pip count from 1 through 5 and you’re sorted.

Once the right faces are lit, the Eyes Wide Open achievement is yours. If you’re planning a broader run afterward, it helps to have a weapon locations guide bookmarked so you’re not backtracking blind later.
