Tired of watching the logos every time you start the game? Just to skip the movie afterwards anyway? Here’s the Solution!
How to Fix
- First navigate to the following game folder:
“…\Steam\steamapps\common\Tempest Rising\Tempest\Content\Movies” - Rename or delete the files “Intro_Game.bk2” and “Intro_Logos.bk2”
- Make two copies of “LoadingScreen_Intro_DYN.bk2” and rename the copies to “Intro_Game.bk2” and “Intro_Logos.bk2”
- Your movies folder now should look like in the attached image (I renamed the original files by adding “.org” instead of deleting them). Note how the new files are only around 2 MB in size instead of 100 MB and 1,2 GB.
- You now should only get two very short loading screens instead of the movies. Just deleting the files without replacing them with something results in a bugged main menu where no buttons are loading, so the third step is mandatory.
